Going organic is definitely the "in" thing these days, as people are starting to become more health-conscious with what they do, what they wear, and what they eat.

This is actually due to the fact that people are concerned with the many new diseases and ailments caused about by the chemicals that are unconciously being taken into our bodies along with our food.

How does this happen? Well, due to advanced science and technology, researchers and scientiests are finding ways to speed up the growth process of our farm animals. This involves giving them chemicals and other artificial nutrients. With this, when the meat are converted for our food consumption, there are big chances that we also intake the chemicals into our body system.

As a result, negative reactions happen inside our bodies, and may cause development of disease and sickness.

But the good thing is, as I have mentioned on my first line, people are becoming more health-conscious and are now choosing organic vegetables, organic fruits, and organic meats for their food choices. This way, there little chances that harmful chemicals are being taken into their body systems.

For example, there are now certain farms that grow animals (like beef, cattle and poultry) the "organic" way. This means that they are providing natural lifestyles or habitat to the animals, and that they allow them to grow in using the natural life cycles. This ensures that the final consumers who buy the meat products are safe from unconsciously taking artificial chemicals and substances in their bodies.

It is about time that all of us consider going organic in our own lifestyles. This is good for the environment; and this is definitely good for all of us.

I Am A Barbecue Lover

Today I am blogging once again about the best kitchen equipments that any housewife (or house husbands who love cooking) will want to have.

But before I go on further, I want to first co-relate my article with what is about to take place in our family next weekend. Erap Leads SWS Latest Presidential Survey

Former President Joseph 'Erap' Estrada is back in the game.

After his ouster from office in 2001 due to allegations of plunder and corruption (see history here), the Filipino people must have forgotten the sins at all, and may have forgiven Erap, as he is now on top of the presidential surveys conducted by the Social Weather Station last June 2009.

Erap Estrada, who gathered about 21% of the approval ratings, is closely followed by Senator Manny Villar (19%), Senator Chiz Escudero (18%), and Vice President Noli De Castro (15%).

However, the Erap Camp must still have to wait for the final decision on whether he is still eligible to run on 2010.

Pepper In Some Fun at Chili's!

This is just one of those moments where I actually don't know the reason why we're dining out. After weeks of painful changes in the systems, we went out for dinner at Chili's Tomas Morato.

I'm not familiar with Chili's so I can't discuss their specialties. But I can say the food is really nice.

Might need to come back so I can have a better review.

This is my 100th post.

6. Madalas magkasakit si FG Mike Arroyo; lalo na kapag pinatatawag siya ng Senado.

8. Sikat na sikat ang balitang recession sa US. Pero mas sikat si Obama. Katunayan, balitang-balita kung paanong hinabol ni GMA si Obama sa lahat ng pagkakataon para lang makapagpa piktyur.

9. Laya na si Erap. Mahal na naman siya ng masa despite of his corruption and plunder charges. Erap for President in 2010?

10. Speaking of 2010, nag-umpisa na ang kampanyahan ng mga Pulitiko sa tv, sa radio, sa internet, at sa diyaryo.

11. Traffic sa may North Avenue hanggang sa Balintawak. Pero ok lang dahil improvement naman ito. Ginagawa na kasi yung extension ng MRT papunta sa LRT.

12. Grabe ang pila sa lotto nitong mga nagdaang araw. Paano, umabot yata sa more than 300 Million ang winnings sa 6/49. Hindi ako tumama. Hindi naman kasi ako tumataya.

13. Nararamdaman na ang effect nang recession sa US. May mga companies kasi na nag lay off at nagsara dito sa Pilipinas. Lay off ang Intel; Umalis na ang Fedex; balitang may mga susunod pa.

21. Tumaas ang presyo ng LPG. Naisalang sa hotseat si Sec. Angie Reyes dahil dito. Pero wala rin yatang nangyari sa investigation.

24. Nagkaroon ng Cancer si Cory Aquino. Pero lumalabas pa rin siya paminsan-minsan lalo na kapag may rally ang opposition.

25. Sikat si Charisse, Si Arnel Padilla at yung chef sa White House na hindi ko alam ang pangalan. Kahit paano, may positibo pa ring impact ang Pinoy sa ibang bansa.

26. Uso ang blogging. Madaling medium kasi ito para maipahayag ang gusto mong sabihin (kahit na wala naman talagang bumabasa sa blog mo).

27. Talamak na rin ang iba't ibang social sites katulad ng Friendster, Multipy, etc.

28. Marami ring Franchise international shows ang sumisikat sa bansa. May local adoptation na tayo ng Survivor, Big Brother, Family Feud, 1 vs 100, Deal or No Deal, Philippine Idol, Kakasa ka ba sa Grade Five, etc. Pero nakakainis dahil pinapasukan ng text votes galing sa televiewers. Hiwaga ni Jollibee

Hindi ko alam kung ano nga ba ang hiwagang bumabalot sa katauhan ni Jollibee.

Pag tinanong mo kasi yung karamihan ng mga bata, mas prefer nila si Jabee kaysa kay Mcdo. Kanina lang, dumalaw sa opisina yung anak ng officemate ko at tinanong namin kung saan nya gustong kumain-sagot agad nung bata-Jollibee (with matching kembot pa)!!!

Kahit man kasi yung mga pamangkin ko noong maliliit pa sila, mas gusto nilang kumain sa Jollibee. Actually, one time, biglang umiyak yung pamangkin ko nung nakita nya si Ronald Mc Donald.

Somehow, totoo namang mas approachable sa bata si Jollibee. Hindi ko alam, pero para nga naman kasing nakakatakot minsan yung hitsura ni Mc Do.

Parang clown na multo na ewan.

Somehow, malaki rin ang epekto ng internet kung bakit mas palagay ang loob ng mga bata kay Jollibee kaysa kay Ronald Mc Donald.

And while the internet, via Wikipedia, disclosed that:

“ The smile known around the world," Ronald McDonald is second only to Santa Claus in terms of recognition."

(Although pupusta ako na kapag dito ginawa ang survey eh baka mahigitan pa ni Jabee si Santa)

hindi pa rin maikakaila na maraming nakakalat na pictures sa internet na against kay kawawang Ronald. And somehow, kapag nakita na ng mga bata, eh medyo nare retain sa memory nila na bad si Ronald.

Katulad na lang nito:

Isipin mo, bata pa lang, ganyan na hitsura (Ang anak ni Janice.......)

Eto naman ginawa pang killer... caught in the act... (di kaya yan ang ginagawang palaman sa hamburger????)

At dahil caught in the act.....

Ayan.. nahuli na....

Coffee Delight

Here's another delightfully tasting coffee find i had recently.

For those who frequent travelling at North Luzon Expressway, you might want to drop by and refuel at the Shell North Luzon Tollway Southbound Station in Mexico, Pampanga. This is the first gas station that you will have to pass by from DAU toll plaza.

While the gas station itself is home to a lot of fastfood chains for drive thru, you should not afford to step out of your car and enter the Select Convenience Store.

Inside, you will find the Divas Kaffe. We chanced upon tasting the coffee when one of our companions offered us a free coffee each. (Who are we to decline the offer, anyway?).




I should say that the taste is really, really delightful. What's more, the prices are unbelievably low. A large cup of caffe latte is only 58 pesos (vat inclusive, of course).

As with the other coffee stations, Divas Kaffe also offers cold beverages, like fraps, fruit juices, and pastries (two thumbs up for the pastries) to go with the drinks.

I have to check out, however, if all Shell Select Stores do house the coffee bar in all their outlets.

Quality at a low price. That's really a delightful treat from Divas Kaffe. (I wonder if I can ever get some fees from advertising this one :>).

Going Crazy (Loco) over Chicken?

For those who are out to find what Mexican chicken tastes like, El Pollo Loco is a must-try. The restaurant specializes with roasted chicken but the dine experience wouldn't be complete without having to taste the Pita (a round, flat, Middle Eastern bread that is often filled with meat, peppers, etc, to make a sandwich).

Instead of the usual gravy, they have this "tomato paste dip" that goes well with the Roasted Chicken.

Too bad I didn't have the time to take pictures at the other offers, well, anyway, I suppose with the two pictures above, one would not have the difficulty of imagining the meal-so-heavy.

BO's Coffee

Once in a while, we just have to get out of that "starbucks mentality" and try other options. Now, i find this a "better option". Why?

Much have been said about how International player Mcdo went far second placer here in the Philippine Market. Now as analysts have started to view that Jollibee could not grow more in terms of putting up new stores, Jollibee Foods Corporation has started buying other companies, thereby, continuously gaining stronger hold of the Domestic Food Market. Chowking, Greenwich, Red Ribbon, Delifrance are some of those already operated by Jollibee.

Now, with other companies acquired in other countries, Jollibee recently acquired 70 percent of Taiwanese restaurant chain Lao Dong for 61.1 million pesos.

Indeed, the Bee has reasons to bee happy!

Reese Scandal

Before it gets out of hand, this is not about any scandal involving Reese Witherspoon (Legally Blonde Movie)

Reese's Hershey Pieces Peanut Butter, that is.

Unsuspecting me hurriedly picked up that Reese's Peanut Butter Candies ON SALE in one Supermarket located at a mall in Mandaluyong area.

It's been about months ago when I last bought one so I thought I should pamper myself this time. PLUS!

Plus the fact that it is indeed, ON SALE. They put it in a bunch of two, buy one take one. PLUS!

Plus there is an additional discount of 3php upon payment at the counter.

Now here's the catch.

They have to put it in bunch of two so that the expiry date which is at the back part of the plastic container is hidden.

This I bought on June 26, 2008 at 7:49 pm. Just so that I might be protected with evidence, transaction is 128113 and or number is: 128113 (Now I can throw off my receipt).






Indeed, what I thought as a GOOD BUY turned out to be a GOOD BYE for my money and a GOOD BYE for my candies.
